Will 18x9 wheels with 245/40/18 tires fit without issues?

Looking at upgrading my wheels, and want to know how wide I can go with an 18" wheel before I run into rubbing issues.

I'm running 18x9 40 offset with no issues at all on a touring
.. now just to find springs..

18x9.5 with a +34 offset will not work. FYI.

Possibly but watch your issue will be it rubbing on the outside fender when its loaded, and you would have to camber it if you lower it. Also I wouldn't drop below a 35 offset. By loaded I mean you have your buddy in the passenger side and you take a dip on a bad road in a curve and you will rub, and believe me from experience let alone is it not safe, it sounds horrific and very unsettling as a driver. If its a daily car, I wouldn't go that big, especially if your plan is also springs or coilovers. Trust me its a headache
