The '16 Civic sedan is coming out in the fall and will be later followed by a coupe, an Si and a 5 door model... then the Type R much later.

Is there a reason the coupe is delayed to be later than the sedan? Don't they usually just produce these on the same line?

The coupe and hatch will be early 2016 I think? That's not that far after. Could just be getting all the models compliant with U.S. safety regulations, certification, etc.

To keep teasing us they're going to release the least to most desirable models argh! ;)

Sedan, coupe, the Type R. Wish it was reverse order.

They'll all be here before we know it. Since the Concept looks so awesome I think even the sedan might look cool.

+1 totally backwards release. Why start with the most boring one first?

Because it is also the one that sells best. :)
Very true and they should never lead with the riskiest play. The sedan will sell in decent volume regardless. My fear is the hot hatch/Type R get discontinued in the US after a few years if they don't hit their targets... let's hope not. This news has had a good reception so far from what I can tell.

Yea and non to enthusiasts, especially with how it looks in the spy photos. Enthusiasts will start paying attention to the 10th gen once the coupe and hatchback hit the market and ESPECIALLY when the Type R comes.

The Sedans always seem to come out first, just to appease all the fogies who would rather drive a blender. :D
