I personally changed mine out for a type r ball type shift knob my reason for this was to have a slightly heaver knob feels a lot better imoI'm just curious on why people are changing their shift knob? I'm more than happy with the stock one, looks great, easy to handle and just goes with the vehicle.
If I had a Civic sport I would consider changing it but other than that I think Honda did a good job with the Si's.
Hi, that seems pretty light. How does it feel compared with OEM?4.93oz as per Mishimoto's site. I bought it directly from them: https://www.mishimoto.com/carbon-fiber-shift-knob.html
Would you happen to have the part number for that 2020 type R shift knob? I only ask as a few of the Honda sites are showing three different ones, and all say it will not fit an Si? Also your shift boot upgrade was that required to work with the 2020 R knob? I think it is a very classy upgrade and looks great! Thanks..Changed mine for upgrade purposes.. love the feel of the 2020 OEM Type-R knob.
The proper part number is: 54102-TGH-G00Would you happen to have the part number for that 2020 type R shift knob? Thank you very much! The proper part number is: 54102-TGH-G00
The sites will probably list it as not fitting an Si but it will screw right on without issue. You can reuse your same shift boot and collar or you can upgrade like I did with the acuity collar and boot of your choice- either option should suffice.
And thanks! I do love the setup!!
