I don't know how many of you guys would actually be interested in a rear seat delete for 10th gen civics but here goes nothing.

The only option available currently for rear seat delete for 10th gens is evasive's product which comes in at a hefty 850 USD. Im 100% positive I can fabricate something for wayyyyyy cheaper. Lets say approximately 250USD or maybe even less.

Figured i'd start this thread to see who else would be interested. If I get 10 people who show interest, Ill rip the back seats out of the Type R, measure some stuff up, and make a demo product to use on my vehicle. If enough people like what they see, I can make a batch and sell em. I'd start with the hatch since that is what I own, and if there's enough traction Id move onto coupe and sedan.

3. @Mr.Risen1254
4. @shoegazer
5. @novadrive
6. @Kcswann

I'd be interested in a 3 person rear bench set up for the Type R complete with centre seat belt. I have three children and need a 5 seater.

If the Type R was a 5 seater I would order one tomorrow!

That is alot more work. Adding seat belts is a safety liability I dont think many companies would be willing to take on.

I would totally do this, but I have a coupe. I also wouldn't be doing it for another couple of years at least.

I have a coupe and I don't use my rear seats much but I would definitely still like to keep the folding function in tact for transporting large items if necessary. I personally probably wouldn't purchase a seat delete solution but I'm sure having that split feature would be a huge selling point.

Can you make that vertical piece fold down to create a larger cargo area?

Yes the vertical piece can be made foldable. Also the bottom part can be used a storage compartment. It will most likely be held together with those snap on clips which can be unclipped very easily.

Interested looking for seat delete option for 2017 type r. The evasive option is just too costly for what it is.

Now I am very interested. Easily reverseable would be ideal of course but, the more I think about this; the more I want this done. Along with a harness bar, harness and proper seat then Id be done with interior.

When I installed the rear seat delete in my brz, it was weight savings of 27 pounds from taking out the seat belt stuff. I expect similar weight savings with the Type R.
