You have a point. If you managed to get a 2020 at MSRP that would be $47.8k out the door in Alberta. The 2021 is $50.3k out the door. I got pricing in regards to the 2021 CTR LE and I'm looking at $59.2k out the door. Definitely not cheap but just under a $9k different was what I was expecting with the regular Type R considering the limited run

It’s the same Y-56 color code from what I’ve read.

It’s quite obvious why diff paint names, easy too.

Geography.

Europe, East of USA gets SUNLIGHT from the sun rising far before we do, from my central time zone, 6 hours earlier than NW FL. First sunrise gets Sunlight.

To a significant part of USA, the evening sun is visible for a long time, in say.... Arizona. If you try to watch it too much further West the charred remains of what used to be Southern California obscure any directional light with an ashen hue as a result of wildfires. The last clear view of this eve sunset yellow event is around Phoenix.

Both are technically the same paint but from different vantage points with appropriate names.

Mystery solved.

Mine is arriving “any day now” - they were told by their Honda Canada rep first or second week of January. Hope it arrives for delivery before our first snowfall (Vancouver).

There's a few friends I know that already received theirs a couple of months ago. Mine is still showing up as January/February build with around a March delivery time. Just patiently waiting
