Anyone else with a 2020 CTR not in love with the alcantara steering wheel? I feel like, especially after driving for over a half hour, it's challenging to get a grip. Hard to explain, but it kind of gets squishy. I'm just so use to leather steering wheels.

Aesthetically, it does look great.
Initially I was skeptical about it and it did feel a bit strange. After driving ~300 miles, itā€™s not bad and I kinda like it. I do still would prefer the leather though. I keep trying to be cautious with ā€œover feelingā€ it and dirtying it up.

There is a CW 2020 CTR on a lot in my town and it is priced at $37,500 in case anyone is so interested. If you contact the dealer, ask for Terrance as a salesperson. Very nice guy.

Apologies, my previous post got erased after I tried to add photos. Started to look seriously for a Type R early in May 2020 and got mine on May 30. Wanted boost blue and checked around with a couple of local dealers and one had a firm delivery so a deal was made. However the AC unit was not working right out of the box, kind of a disappointment coming from Honda. Today is June 17 and still no parts, with the summer temps starting to climb, I hope it comes soon. The GM of the dealership can only do so much. Our family is a Honda family with numerous cars purchased and leased in the past. This might change that.

I had the same issue with the AC not working... So I drove it back and I guess they just had to recharge the Freon. And it worked!

Wish that was the issue for mine. My whole assembly has to be replaced. They were able to trace it back to the Swindon plant where a worker missed putting oil in the unit. Thatā€™s the story from Honda. Problem is, itā€™s taking a long time for the replacement to come in.

That's a huge mistake. Unfortunate it is taking so long.

I actually rather like the Alcantara steering wheel, my only concern is the long-term durability of it compared to the conventional leather wheels on the '17-'19 model.

Love the Alcantara but a bit skeptical on durability from my sweaty palms. From day one, I put a black Honda wheel cover just for added protection from the sun and my hands. Doesnā€™t appear the greatest but I can easily remove and re instal whenever necessary. Will try and post a pic.

Might change to '17 - '19 OEM steering wheel. Saw some priced as low as $150. I assume it'll fit.

I am in the same boat - am ready to buy a 17-19 leather one.

However, I can't seem to find hard confirmation of whether or not it'll fit the new 2020s. I assume it'll fit, but I don't want to assume too much, you know?

Ya, I've seen a few! They look pretty good, but I just want to make sure it fits fully.

For those looking for a 2020 Ctr in the OC or IE, my buddy was at Corona Honda today and they had a BB and CW in the showroom floor. Unfortunately, he didnā€™t look at the sticker. Wouldnā€˜t hurt to inquire on a price. FYI.

It should fit, but youā€™ll have to swap over the cruise control switches. They are different on the 2020.
