Are there houses/businesses near that racetrack? Just curious.
You can hear the GT3 cars fairly clearly almost 5 miles away through the hills at the college. But the track is mostly in the middle of nowhere.

That would be music to my ears. I’d build a house right near it so I can hear all of these cars go by :)

Yeah definitely. Multi million dollar homes nearby.

I think it's kind of silly as I believe what happens is the following:

1. Non-car people complain about racing and everything associated with it.
2. Car people find land, that is far away from people, to build a race track.
3. Car people buy homes near said race track to be closer to their hobbies (and be farther away from non car people).
4. Non-car people move into the area because now the area has a higher median income and has essentially blossomed into prime real estate.
5. Non-car people complain about racing and everything associated with it.
6. Vicious cycle starts again.

Too bad I don’t have the capital to build a track and housing development. We got 166 acres of land up in NY. Could be big enough for a small track lol.

A lot of the newer racetracks run into this problem too since they build on area that might be "close-ish" to nearby city but was out of the way but then as the city expands it became an issue.

The dumber side of this is for places that has a track there for ages and people who moved to the area knowing there is a track there complains about noise. This literally happened at Monza, which has been there for over 100 years now....
