i can't find the coolant drain plug on my hatch? where is it at? I look on the driver's side, can't find it

5/16/21f UPDATE: It is possible to unscrewed the drain plug with your fingers on the hatch. Really tight space, you really need to stuff your fingers in there. Only unscrew until coolant start flowing. You don't need to remove any plastic trimming under the car.

There's a plastic drain valve on the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side. There's also a drain bolt in the block near the downpipe/secondary O2 sensor. I'm not sure it's necessary to drain from there though. A simple drain/fill from the rad (maybe do it twice if you want to be super thorough) should be fine.

L15 instructions include removing the block drain bolt. I still didn't do so when I changed mine.

Would you mind re-uploading a hi-res version of the screen shot? It's currently illegible due to small size. Thanks!

did you have to remove any trimming pieces underneath the car to access the drain plug on the radiator??

Oh weird. I'm not sure why it uploaded like that ?

I added it as a PDF.

I had the whole undertray removed while I was doing another project. I think you'd have a hard time getting to it with it on.

the large aluminum tray?
No, I had the entire undershield off. You could start with the aluminum tray and see if you can reach though.

Yeah. It's kind of between the fog light access flap and the aluminum tray, right at the front of the car.
man, wtf. I spent over an hour trying to reach the drain plug. I can see it and feel it. But i couldn't reach it with enough lever to twist it off. What is your secrete?
