Track season is coming soon and that means frequent brake bleeding and replacement of brake fluid. I usually pressurize the master brake cylinder with about 2 bar pressure and use this for fast and good bleeding. My current adaptor does not fit the FK8. Where can I find an adaptor suitable for this (with some kind of nipple or valve) that matches tha cap of the FK8 brake fluid reservoir? Online sources pleae, I am located in Sweden! =)

I'm looking for one of these too. Did you ever find one?

I've used the Motive Products 101, and it fits our reservoir poorly. It's a universal fit design, and requires some fiddling to hold a seal to just 0.5 bar. Better than nothing, but not perfect. No luck yet on finding an adapter that is purpose built.

I have not found anything suitable yet, I tried to order a stock cap to see if I could rebuild it, but my local Honda dealer is kind of slow so I have not received it yet.

I also tried retro fit the Motiv Bleeder with an OEM Honda cap, and had great success !! Essentially I had to drill a hole in the center of the Honda cap, and secure the Motiv rubber tube to the cap with something similar to a Garden Hose adaptor (from Home Depot). Make sure you apply plenty of instant glue around the edge. Then test fit if it holds pressure.

In my case, there is a very small leak but good enough to swap the brake fluid with the “dry” method (I don’t pour brake fluid into the motiv container). I swapped the fluid and took it to the track. All still works well after ~4K miles. I should share a picture because it’s worth a thousand words.

Bottom line – About $20 from Home Depot and 40 minutes work. I highly encourage you to give it a shot!

This bleeder cap is a quality CNC billet precision Fit made by speedibleeder from Canada. I use it with my compressor and an in-line regulator from the kit I’ve used for many different brakes systems. Cap is available independent so it can easily be Adapted by switching out the air connectors.
