I am considering adding a small amplifier to my car, specifically the Pioneer GM-D1004. It will end up being mounted in the glove box since it is so small. For those who have run wires to their amp, where did you push it through at the firewall? I’ve seen some people talk about a grommet but I’m not particularly sure where it is. I’ll be running 12 gauge wire from the battery so I should have no issues getting it through tight spaces.

Not through the firewall, but up and over the wheel arch, then in through the drivers side fuse box grommets. Not sure if passenger side would have a hole though.

12ga should be easy to run. IIRC I found a bundle of wires going through the firewall above the brake/clutch pedals somewhere, pushed it through there, just made sure to not touch/damage any of the other wires in the bundle. It is far safer to use a separate hole and grommet, but I live dangerously.
