the leak photos had holes so i guess they are "real".

Although can you really call it real when there's nothing behind it.
True, I had hopes for the fronts where it makes more sense. Certainly not on the regular one and not hopeful for the R.

Hey, at least the Type R will get Homelink finally! I’m still crossing my fingers for carbon roof.

I prefer the 2017-19 panels after seeing the photos of the 2020 Sport.

I don’t like the panels either but probably pretty easy to paint black. I think if they were black it would break up the current big fake vents but not turn it into such a cluttered mess.

I can only imagine how much a carbon roof would increase the msrp. Have to think it would be an option that could be ordered or something.

The big thing I'm on the lookout for is Sensing. The fake vent splitter is whatever, but Sensing would be a game changer. That would get you LKAS, ACC, and rain sensing wipers.

Beg to differ on that....I think they nicely break up the overly large flat black panels of the current model, making them less of an eyesore.

First vents were fake, now they are not fake but there is nothing behind them. So them moved "solid plastic wall" a bit inside lol! :D

I hope Honda does an over the top press release of the refresh. The SI press release was meh. A 2020 R with a speculative CF roof deserves a little theater when the announcement is made. Then again, I may be getting my hopes up way too much.

Please tell when they are going to present the 2020 Type-R?

That's the thing, there's not even a way of knowing. They kind of just tell the auto journalist community and bleh, thats it. I know its JUST a refresh but still..It's the Type R.

So does everybody think carbon fiber roof?

I’ll guess we will hear official details in the next couple of weeks based on how they announced the other x gen civics a few weeks apart. Coupe/sedan-> hatch -> Si -> R
But then again the R is their baby so who knows...
Looking fwd to it so I can decide if I’m trading or not based on upgrades, colors, cost etc on the R.
I’m thinking 2 models will be announced. Touring/GT & track version.

These new vents is Honda saying: “You were complaining about the 10th gen vents? We could’ve made them worse. Here they are for the MMC, assholes”
