Just did a tour from Indiana to Virginia over the Alleghany in my new Hatch and used LKAS (my grandson says it stands for 'lickety split') a lot. I even tried letting it come to a complete halt. I wondered, though, when do the brake lights come on?

if it is hard braking then yes it should. If it’s just from engine braking, then no. I cant say for certain, because I dont have Honda sensing.

LKAS keeps you in the lane with steering input. It's RDM that slows/stops your vehicle in the event you cross a solid line. And, yes, if RDM is activated the brake lights will come on, just like when ACC stops your car.

Anytime the brakes are applied the brake lights come on, regardless of who/what applies the brakes.

How's this even a question? You can literally just watch your third brake light to see if it comes in or not.

Thanks, Phy, for your help. I'm new to all this modern tech and just trying to learn. I also learned that I did the wrong alphabet soup - I should have said ACC not LKAS.
