MY maintenance minder is at 70% at about 1.8k miles. My dealer suggested I change it at 50% or every 5k miles ish... at this rate I’ll be at
50% around 3-3.5k miles. With that being said should I change it at 5k miles or at 50%? Thanks! <3
Surprised your dealer recommended that. Honda is adamant to go full interval on the first oil change because the break in oil needs to do its job. Supposedly it's a special oil, very rich in Molybdenum.
I always change it earlier in my Hondas and they burned oil so this time I won't be changing before 10% on the minder.

well i just made our first oil change at 50% MM reading, do i have to wait for it to tell me the wrench to reset it? i cant find a option for resetting the oil life, wanted to get it chaged before winter sets in.

I don't even know what's wrong with my car, it has less than 500 miles on it and my oil life is at 30% already. I've barely driven the car except for on a few long trips since I got it in December.

Nothing. It goes by age and mileage. Your oil should be changed at least once a year.

That would make sense then since the car was a 2017 that I purchased in December of that year. Thanks for the info.
