Wheels on stock tires

Looking at getting matte black sparco pro corsa wheels and trying to make them fit into the stock all season from Honda. Does this mean that the wheel should be an 18x8 the one I want is 45 offset, is that an issue. Also I would like to know the cost to take the tire of stock wheel and put on new one for all four. Help would be greatly appreciated here’s a link to the wheels

lots of people re-used the stock tires on aftermarket wheels (myself included)

pay closer attention to the wheel width, ie: it shouldn't really exceed 8.75 inches wide if you're re-using the factory tire, and I personally would NOT recommend anything wider (like a 9" wide or more)

otherwise you'll get that look that screams ........"I'm a 16yr old kid, with a 2002 Golf GTI and I intentionally bought 195's for my 10" wide rims so that it would look stupid)

as for offset, this becomes more of a concern as it relates to clearance and the wheels rubbing on either the fenders or the inner wheel well etc....

the tires don't care what the offset of the wheel is, but your fenders WILL care.

Generally speaking, depending on your suspension.... I'd recommend an offset between 40mm and 50mm on a wheel no wider than 8.5 inches.... with that setup you could guarantee no rubbing AND no fender mods.

Other people will tell you that 18X12 with a 275mm wide tire is fine, ....that just hasn't been my personal experience

There shouldn't be any fitment issues with those wheels as they are ever so slightly more aggressive than the heavier stock 18x8 wheels. The only real difference is the offset, anything less on the offset and I'd need to research to be 100 percent safe. This is also assuming stock height. If you get super aggressive with the wheels/tires running lowered, etc. it would be possible that you would need to roll the fenders, have them pulled, or install aftermarket ones which would get pricey.

Actually, stock wheels on a Gen X Si are 18x8, with 50mm offset (not 18x8.5)

Fitment Industries has a nice calculator for comparing wheel sizes. I do get some rub running 20mm spacers with Swift Spec-R springs (1.1" drop). So that is a 18x8 +30 basically. I also haven't messed with the fender tabs, which probably would fix it. A +45 offset would be no problem, certainly not at stock height, not at any reasonable drop either. The only problem is that it wouldn't give you much of a flush look. I've been thinking of going to an RPF1 in 18x8 +35. And you should be able to go to an 8.5" wheel on the stock 235s.
