Looking to get wheels and snow tires for my CTR, what wheels would you all recommend for dedicated snow tires. I would only use them 3 months a year. Do any other OEM honda wheels fit?

I think we need a dedicated Type-R winter wheel thread, maybe this is it.

Has anyone heard of Westlake tires? They make a snow tire for the stock OEM rims.

Does anyone use their stock rims for snow tires?

The Motegi MR133 18x(any width you want) fit fantastic on this vehicle. I just installed them for summer rims and I would highly recommend them for winter wheels. They are around $170 per rim and still light weight, durable, and a reputable brand. You can easily throw some 245/40/18 Michelin Xi3 for around $165 (without discount) per. I'd shop for snow tires mid-summer and you can find them for amazing deals. Around $1300-1400 max for a full set of 18s that look great and will perform fantastic in all winter weather. I swear by the Xi3 over the Blizzaks strictly due to the amount of slush, cold days, and all around bad weather we experience in michigan over DEEEEEEP snow. The Blizzaks always perform better in the deepest of snow but my average winter drive is icy, slushy, or just down right cold... The Xi3 always outperforms the Blizzaks in that situation. I've been running them for about 5 years now.

Motegi MR133 if you wanted to see them mounted. These are only 35 height tires so account for more meat being on there.

I’ve read about being downsizing their tire width for snow tires. Would 235/35/20 fit properly on the stock rims?

Is it a bad idea to install snow tires on the OEM wheels?

Better and cheaper to go with dedicated winter setup--smaller wheels and tires---than to get snow tires for OEM '20 wheels. The smallest and narrowest that will fit are 18x8.

From TireRack, I went with 18x8 Moda MD24 and 225/45/18 Michelin X-Ice snow tires, which came out to ~$1,124 + shipping. Four Pirelli Winter Sottro 3 snow tires in OEM size would cost ~$1,650 + shipping.

It's a no brainer, other than needing storage space for the additional set of wheels+tires.

Great advice. I went to TireRack and found a similar setup for this winter.
