To each their own but IMO I don't think wood grain shifters look good in our cars. My OCD goes into overdrive since it just feels so out of place with everything in our civic's interior being modern, black, leather & plastic. Maybe that's the appeal for some people that its the one thing in the car that would really stand out as different.

I do think they look perfect in on the older classic cars especially when the interior has accent pieces with wood grain on them.

So glad you're loving it, Brian! They're not only fascinating to look at, but personally it's perfectly sized for my palms, doesn't get hot or cold, and since you got the lightweight variant you'll feel a greater sense of interaction with the shifter

Is there any chance that these would ever be available in a solid black (or even black & grey striped, since the existing knob is laminated layers of lighter/darker wood)?
