Super easy install ... just hole punch the key chain tag (or remove the chrome grommet (that's what I did)), remove the push pin, near the latch ... insert push pin thru hole in key chain tag, and re-install.
I initially worried that it would pull out ... but it has been in service for more than a year, without any issues.
