I didn't notice a difference until I was really cooking. The lack of sponge once the brakes start getting hot is where they shineFinally put on the stainless steel brake lines I got for Christmas. Tbh, I don't feel a big difference at all if any lol.
I rev match every downshift. It just makes the shift much smoother & puts less strain on clutch & gears. Especially true when downshifting to build power or block shifting ( 6-4, 4-2 etc). I say if you already know how to rev match, just keep doing it. This is coming from a guy that had to double clutch his 1st non- syncro DDHey everyone, had a question about 1st gear. So Iāve found occasionally that Iāll have to slow down to about 7 mph or so but when I try to go from 2nd to first at this speed it doesnāt go smoothly into gear and I have to revmatch. I read that this isnāt good and puts a strain on the transmission, but I donāt wanna risk lugging the engine taking off in 2nd. Am I just overly worried? Is it okay to just take off in 2nd?
At least!!!I put these in yesterday.
Atleast 15 hp increase
There's a reason why it's a button press away in a type r. My buddy's dad who was a green beret and a race car driver taught me how to rev match when I was 14. You should always rev match when driving a stick.I rev match every downshift. It just makes the shift much smoother & puts less strain on clutch & gears. While I will never claim to be a race car driver, the Green Beret peaked my interest. Give your buddies Dad my best regards & please thank him for his Service on my behalf ( Memorial Day fast approaching). I'm former UK Commando, so appreciate his service. There's a reason why it's a button press away in a type r. YesIs this a type R hood?
I don't know any other way of downshifting, every gear is match never let the clutch bring the rpms up. Start back playing rush in the arcades where there was an actual clutch pedal wayyy back, heel/toe is second nature for me at this point. There's a reason why it's a button press away in a type r.
