What's your SI looking like today?

If you could have one mod right now, what would it be?

Deeeeeyam! That looks so clean! Excellent man!

I need those brakes. Two future mods I want are the 27won BBK and a Flat bottom steering. The BBK is so expensive though. It's more expensive than any part or mod I've gotten to this point. I gotta Dukes of Hazard it into my car and a flat bottom steering wheel would make that easier. Plus, looks slick! I'm also really feeling the windshield visors. I've been on the fence for a while. How are they holding up?
No issues so far! Had them on for over 2 years already!

Is that an off brand Mugen style/have a link? I'm on fence myself but those look pretty good.

LED aren't meant to be in the halogen housings and therefore don't have proper alignment. This causes poor beam focus and terrible throw, which blinds oncoming traffic and decreases overall visibility by creating a scattered beam and overly bright foreground.

This thread even has testing in xgen Civic housings

Thats really an awesome writeup. Tons of real world testing. Still the conclusion is LED can be better or worse than halogen or HID but comes down to the speciffic light and housing. There are plenty tests where the LED comes out ahead in halogen housing but probably more that it doesnt based on the speciffic LED in speciffic housing tested.

Yes there are a couple projector housings where LED can drop in and perform decently, but the biggest problem occurs at distance due to the lack of focus.

Specifically with xgen Civic halogen projectors they just don't perform as well

Here's testing of h11, h9, OEM , and M 2stroke v3 with Civic housings

Yeah, my Vlands are terrible for low-beam near visibility, but long visibility isn't too bad, actually. The spread of light is very different than the halogen projectors. High-beam visibility is fine, though.

LED bulbs in the OEM projectors is great, though. Curious how they compare real-world to the OEM LEDs.

I didn't have a good experience with LED in oe projectors. That's why I'm running hid. I'd totally get the oe LED housings, though. I'm getting halogen to keep in the car as backups

All I can say is that the LED bulbs that I have put in my low beams, high beams and fogs work WAY better than the stock halogens. Just my real world experience ... nothing scientific ... but I can see much more (near and far). Work so well that I rarely even use the high beams.

Stock bulbs in the halogen housings are dookie.

I haven't tried a high output halogen bulb to see the difference. Those testing numbers show better results. Plus, it's $25 for the pair *shrug*

YMMV

One of first thing I did was buy better halogens. I could have even went brighter but they are good enough for me.

I just don't want to blind people and yes I put my brights on to people that have too bright lights. If you are going to blind me then I'll blind you and we can drive towards each other blind.
