What's your SI looking like today?

If you could have one mod right now, what would it be?

Just put 27Won front strut bar in. Took about 5 mins to put actual part in.

However I was replacing the ground with the longer one for the first step (honestly I'm not sure why it needed longer ground but guess they want you to kind of twist the negative terminal away from bar) and apparently screwed up the threads on the top of the part that the nut screws on the negative terminal. Then lost the nut because it flew up easy since threads were messed up on top. So had to find a spare nut with fine threads and use channel locks to hold bottom part while ratcheting the nut past the messed up part on top then put it on terminal for remaining tightening. Will replace it with aftermarket solution when I change battery out. Honda wanted 5 dollars or something for one 10mm nut.... I'm pretty sure he was looking up correct nut. Lol

Iā€™ll bet your ride is so hydrophobic, itā€™ll stay dry why everything else gets drenched. šŸ¤£

Wife tells me ā€œweā€ (even tho she didnā€™t want the coupe) made the better decision getting sedan being that the market is higher on those currentlyā€¦ I like both, and am absolutely in love with my sedan, but I think coupe looks better, especially when lowered on some nice wheelsā€¦
You like what you like ...

as someone who has driven there i agree with this lmao

hmm thats a funny looking 10th gen lol

wrong forum bud
@rhino Be Kind ... your Civic isn't a 10th gen either ... and we still love and accept you.

That said ... I did think to myself "that's a weird set of mods on the Civic ... never seen anyone mod the doors, fenders and quarter panels".

So, driving the other day, my IAT1 was 127, while my IAT2 was 90. In 80-def ambient! Anyone else have IAT1 temps this high? At least I know the intercooler is working. šŸ˜…

Iā€™m beginning to suspect the Mishimoto intake is heat-soaking. I might be in a position to do a case-control experiment.

Anyone have a used PRL Cobra they want to sell me? šŸ˜…

Iā€˜ll try to get a series of identical drives with both intakes to monitor IAT temps in order to assess if the Mishi is heat-soaking.
Ambient may be 80, but throw in radiant heat from the pavement and surrounding buildings ... and IAT1 can DEFINITELY be way hotter than ambient.

I watch races where ambient is 80, and track temps are 130+ ... just depends on time of day and sunshine.

That said, I have always respected your analytical and methodic approach to researching what's going on.

Keep us posted ... please.

@justasimpleman @rhino In all honesty, Iā€™ve considered selling TH for a profit. But, at the end of the day, when I see other peoplesā€™ rides, I still have that feeling of ā€˜Thatā€™s so dope! I want one of my own!ā€™, and then I look at The Hottie Hot Hotā„¢ļø in the garage, and sigh in contentment. šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤

Sheā€˜s my Millenium Falconā„¢ļø. Iā€™ve made a lot of special modifications myself.
I've considered selling Kaiju (for profit), keeping my Enkei wheels, and picking up a 11 Gen Si sedan ... but I just ... can't ... pull ... the trigger! :confused1:

Yeah, good point, and Iā€™ve def considered that. Where Iā€™m at, itā€™s also pretty dang hot, and while I might think the hood vents would allow heat to escape, it doesnā€™t matter if everything is hot AF.

Ha, thanks. Iā€™ll say that itā€™s not a big priority right now. BUT, if I find a deal I canā€™t pass up, Iā€™ll do some data logs.
