What's your SI looking like today?

If you could have one mod right now, what would it be?

Yesterday, I took a day off from painting & fixing up new house to mount exhaust... kinda matches Wifey's Z51 now & almost as loud. OEM exhaust came off very easily using clamp hanger tool. Had entire job done in about 2 hrs, so did oil change/ tire swap on the Z51 & took it out for a rip ( I mean test drive) ;)

So I can’t break loose the screw that holds the front driver rotor in. No I don’t have an impact wrench but a lot of muscle. Any suggestions
I’m starting to strip the screw head.
i guess I’ll have to put it back together for now.
This is what i use. Got it from my Dad, but I have NO idea what it's actual name is.

Works EVERY time!

Pretty sure that’s an “impact screwdriver”.

You're thinking of the S197 chassis. the s550 has an IRS and a traction control that works making it much less likely to hunt pedestrians.
I agree ... until some idiot turns the traction control off ... then the excitement begins. I'm NOt worried about YOU doing that ... because I don't think you're an idiot.

(Why is an 8" screen one of your requirements? Special audio set up in the works?)

Yeah, It means I can remove the radio in place of the factory screen and control it using the factory faceplate using the Maestro parts. Shaker gives me mounting locations for a 3 way component speaker system.

big difference on those brakes and rotors over OEM?
Don’t know that I’d necessarily call it a “big difference” (haven’t had a chance to track the car with this combo yet) but overall, I’m happy with the setup… the pads definitely have more bite than OEM for what it’s worth… my only complaint (which really is no fault of R1 Concepts) is that the Performance Sport Series pads do let off quite a lot of brake dust… which would be fine if I was tracking the car regularly, but considering my car is more of a daily driver these days, I think I’ll go with something a bit more street-able (less dust) when it comes time for replacement (if I don’t upgrade to a BBK)… 😬

I’m actually between the Genesis Brembos and the 27Won kit…

A local Si guy put together the Genesis kit for $500ish bucks… which is obviously a bargain!… but it also took him a while to piece it all together… plus I’d prefer black calipers, which means I’d have to get the Genesis Brembos powder coated if I were to go that route (which will bring the price closer to the 27won kit)…

I’m not sure which route I’ll ultimately end up going, but I have a few other things on my list before I get to the BBK… so stay tuned… lol… 🍺
