America is hogging all the 10th gen coupes.

Here in Calgary, maybe 1 out of 50 tenth gen cars I see is a coupe, or less. I just spent 4 days in LA and there's tons of coupes, maybe 20% of the cars I saw were coupes. I wonder why this is.

I wonder if it’s related to differences in individualistic orientations between countries.

I think it’s reasonable to presume sedans are designed for a larger group than coupes, so, sedans may be more preferred by collectivistic countries, while coupes are more preferred by individualistic countries. However, as much as I searched, I could find no data that allowed for this microscopic comparison because sedans and coupes are clustered into a ‘small car’ size.

It could also be that the local cultural differences between both cities are very different. Calgary culture may be less all-about sunny Fast & Furious mores than L.A.

Major assumption: we’re aggregating at a group level after speaking about only two cities as proxies for their respective countries.
