So, after much obscurity about the state and shipment of my carbon hood, it finally shows up at my house unannounced.

This is the condition of the box:

Boot prints on a box that’s clearly marked ‘FRAGILE’! ? Given the relative lack of transparency with everything involved with getting this (from an actual business, no less), I’m not having high hopes for the hood being any kind of intact.

Go to unbox it, and…

It’s actually in fantastic condition! ? Whew! Dodged a bullet! I even recorded the entire unboxing, with close-ups on the packaging tape, just to protect myself, just in case.

Added DEI heat shielding on the raw carbon underside, and, sheesh, was that stuff hard to work with around the vents! You will have wrinkles! That said, I'm happy with it, and it def keeps things cooler. I could easily touch the shielding after a drive, it was warm, but not too hot at all. In fact, the top of the hood directly over the turbo area, on both sides of the hood, was pretty cool to the touch! The most warmth was on the outside skin of the hood, right past the vent opening, which I attribute to the hot air exiting the engine bay.

And the Perrin Strut bar that I just bought also doesn't fit with the Seibon hood due to fitment issues, hitting the hood frame supports. ??

Recommendations for a low-profile strut bar? the 27Won looks low-pro.

Bruh, so, I installed the Whiteline RMM on Saturday. Holy wow! This thing is RAW now! Everything vibrates (not necessarily rattles), and I even hear the engine valve train and the transaxle now! ? Feels like a race car driving this thing.

Once it breaks in, it's one of the best RMM's for the car. Especially with the ACT Street Clutch Kit I tested every RMM available, and Whiteline's got the vote from everyone who drove the car as being the best choice
