She's flying!

Quickjack 7000 for the shop, always wanted one for ease of performing small maintenance items, wheel swaps, and being able to give a more in-depth look of the underside on our cars :)

Thanks to @Thusee for coming and setting it up!

I wanted one of those for the house but the price is the same as a true 2 post lift...

Paid $1,300 CAD shipped from Costco, which is right about $1,025 USD. I don't think I'd trust a two-post for that amount 😶

My sweets was excited for me, and wanted to go out for a random car ride. She's beautiful (my wife, that is) but she hates being in pictures ... so this little beauty had stand in for her.

I really do like the system. I just can't deal with these issues anymore.
How do the remote start systems work on the Si (when it does). I was at the Track last year and driver had remote start added to their M240i BMW 6M and apparently forgot to leave it in Neutral. When the car was started it literally took off on its own (thanks to BMW's anti-stall technology) and drove a couple hundred yards hitting a 335i and a 911 GT3. I watched the whole thing in amazement and horror...

Jealous! Jacks and jack stands give me such anxiety that I procrastinate doing stuff lol.

Certainly have to exercise precaution! We tested it to make sure there's no way the locks could disengage on their own, left it raised overnight with Blue on it.

Also placing jack stands underneath to be extra safe. Perhaps we'll make a video on it :)

I've had a few track cars (911 and a 135i) on my quickjack for extended periods of time. No issues. They are stout.

On manual cars there's a couple things you need to prevent this exact situation.

First is a shock sensor (FT-DAS) it senses if the car tries to move during the start process and if it does it immediately stops the remote start and kills the system till its turned off and on again using the key.

Second is a reservation mode. Its a sequence that tells the car that it's not in gear and allows the car to be remote started. In my case when you park you set-release-set the parking brake the RS takes over the car until the last door that's opened closes, locks the car, then waits 3 seconds and shuts the car down. If any panel or door is opened afterwards it kills the res mode and you have to reset it. If res mode fails or resets the car can't remote start.

In your guy's case he had defeated multiple safety features designed to prevent that.

a standard 2 post only runs about 1500 and for a every day shop ya its not a good idea but for someone at home that uses it once and awhile they work good id have to look up which company my friend has. but for 1k thats not bad i always thought they were a bit more.

Those BBS wheels are SOO DOPE. Those and the Enkei Raijin gave me some inspiration for the wheels that I just copped today from TireRack at a STEAL of a price:
