What's your SI looking like today?

If you could have one mod right now, what would it be?

me and a friend of mine were talking about how we each downshift our cars differently so i thought i would ask in here.

for anyone that wants to participate just say A. or B. if you have another way you downshift put C. and say what it is!

to down shift do you..

A. row through the gears and use the engine braking and the brakes to slow down?(no this dosent mean slap it in gear and let it bounce of the rev limiter till it slows down)

B. or do you slap the car into neutral and slow it down with only the brakes?

C. idk thought this should be an option incase anyone is different

besides the questions i hope everyone had a great time off work and great holidays! welcome to the new year folks!

man it feels like a year has passed since my last post...
A...if you're using the B method, you're completely missing a benefit of having a manual transmission.

I don't know about illegal either, but I do remember the driving test manual saying not to ride the clutch to coast and slow down

It’s not “wrong” but you’re wearing your brakes out prematurely by not taking advantage of engine braking.
yup it wont wear them down much tbh it takes awhile for brakes to go

b for me, this a good thread for a poll ? and it dont wear my clutch fast neither
doing option A. isnt going to hurt anything... but you do you!

and this thread is fine for it since everyone in here has a si and is a mt so should get a good amount of info from it! plus we have talked about other stuff in here before its not uncommon
