What's your SI looking like today?

If you could have one mod right now, what would it be?

Swapped grille's, added red badges (dremeled factory si badge to fit)...
The grille looks great where's it from?

Also, how's the fit + finish in person? I'm really anal about stuff looking good enough it could've been a factory option. The gloss the same? Black color matches? Fit is tight?

What part of the badge did you have to Dremel?

Gonna assume it's the Pro-Civic from his post history.

Can I get a code as well?

Thanks!

Pro civic grille. Finish is great matches factory perfectly. It comes with the eyelid things that go above the headlights to make sure they match but I reused my factory ones since they were only a month old and they are dead on. I will say if you are OCD there is one thing that still bugs me and its where the grill attaches to bumper at the very top edge near your hood. The tabs are supposed to lock into place and really pull the grill in but I think they are like a one time use style deal as they don't lock in as good after you remove the factory grill. Some people said they had to use a heat gun on the back side and bend the tabs down to make sure it held so it was a little bit of work to make sure it was in place correctly.

The Si badge is a different story. Sorry I didn't take pictures of it while doing it but it basically comes off the factory grill with just two screws at the back. I then positioned it where I wanted it to mount on the new grille and took a red sharpie to the side profile of it to put marks where I wanted to remove material to allow it to slide inward in between some of the hexes of the new grille. It took me a few times going back and forth and test fitting until I got it where I wanted it. It basically squeezed in between a hex on the left side and the right side I was able to reuse the mounting hole at the back. I then created my own 1" x 2" backing plate from a thinner metal bracket I had sitting around out in my nuts & bolts bin in my garage. Drilled a hole where I needed it to meet up with the mounting hole and screwed it in using the same screw from the back of the factory grill. There are some places that sell a Si badge similar to it (https://www.amazon.com/Metal-Front-...=honda+civic+si+emblem&qid=1600690215&sr=8-12) but they all seemed cheap looking to me so reusing the factory one was my only option otherwise I was planning just to live without it. Would have been nice if a new Si badge came with the grille for us Si owners but it would cost more and not everyone that buys the grille has one since they fit most civics.

My friend installed the Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs on my car and it looks great! Not too low, Not too stock. One thing he mentioned that was a pain was to make sure the CV Boot was protected from the Lower Control Arm. He used a towel to cover the metal portion that points up from the Lower Control Arm which can potentially rip the CV Boot. I attached a screenshot from a YouTuber called caraddict of that metal part that points up for reference. (Special thanks to caraddict on YouTube for showing the Lower Control Arm issue.)

Once I get a new front assembly (Honda said the broken clips were not because of the grill, but the whole front assembly. Thankfully it's still covered by warranty lol) I plan on doing a full detail due to light scratches on the paint.
