Does the metal casing affect the range at all? One concern I have is that it uses screws to secure the housing, which may be an issue if you need to access the physical key. It also makes the remote a bit longer, but it sure looks nice though.

In my experience there are not lost of signal power, but the access to the physical key is not easy instead you carry ever a cross screwer.
