Whats this feature in my new civic ?

Hi guys, I'm buying a new 2020 civic and I noticed something weird I forgot to ask the dealer about.

If you reach in to that little cubby behind the gear shift there's another little square inset/box thing back in there ? What is this ? You can just see it in this pic to the right of the shifter.

It holds the charging cables passed up from the USB's behind it. My 20 SI actually came with a small USB cable in a loop, it hooked on those 2 slots.
