Im looking for new wheels and wanted to run my stock tires (235/40/18) tires but I dont know if those will work or not?

If not, whats the best size that will fit the car? I am lowered on D2 lowering springs FYI

thanks in advance everyone!

Depends on offset. I believe flush is achieved by adding 20mm (front) and 25mm (rear) spacers on stock rims. So you'll be fine on 255/35/18 with ET45 rims.

Play with the numbers here: (left side is stock)

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...-18X9.5ET45&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm&sr=0mm
Im looking at a set of wheels that have an offset of +38 that are 18x9.5.

I read that the 255’s fit the 9.5 width perfect and i am going for a performance setup more than looks if that’s a variable.

18x9.5", 38mm (as you have stated you'll be purchasing) with 245/40-18's. I think I could get away with 255/35's, but wider means more rolling resistance, and a shorter than stock tire means false mileage quicker than the stock height. I went the other direction, as the 245's are a little taller.

Those look great. What are you lowered on?
Did you roll your fenders? Any rubbing?

My cars lowered on D2 springs for reference.

So i've been doing some research and since im on D2 springs which lower the front-1.7" and the rear-1.9" which is more aggressive than other brands (Skunk, Eibach, etc) it seems like performing the "fender tab" mod and running 235/40/18's (slightly stretched) will be my best bet.

If anyone wants to chime in and offer any clarification that would be great.

Sorry for this late answer! Lowered on Eibach Sportlines, no rubbing except on hard dips over 50mph. I believe it is the top of the tire in the fender well I have heard, as there are no marks on the sidewalls.
