Have anyone changed their clutch out? I hit 30K miles and finally burnt it out. In the shop getting it replaced
im curious to see some responses here. I have a 2020 SI with 18,500 miles. Just starting to modify it. I’ve got the PRL CAI, PRL intercooler, and Ktuner basemap . MAPerformance catback on the way. I know these 10th gens have terrible stock clutches.. is it pretty common for them to need to be replaced around 30,000 miles? Wondering if it might be less before mine goes, given the torque increase. Have not had any signs of slipping yet.

It’s possible for the clutch to go at any given point with the added hp/tq. Mine went the first week I tuned my car at around 30k miles. It really depends on your foot. If your mashing the gas and banging gears (which is what I did the first night I tuned my car - slipping began shortly after) it will probably happens sooner than later, but if you drive more conservative, then it may last much longer.

At some point the will give, which is why you will see many Clutch Replacement threads. You can read through many testimonials to see what aftermarket clutch may be best for you, taking into account cost and budget goals.

2019 CTR with 41,000 miles on the clock. Highway miles, city driving, couple dozen track/auto-x days.

2017 Si Sedan, over 53k miles, most of it on TSP Stg 1 map 3. Stock brakes and clutch still have plenty of life left. On my 3rd set of tires though. Mostly highway driving, and I downshift very often, rarely use the brakes to slow down.

Approaching 4th year in April with a bit over 26k miles. With me working from home indefinitely, I dont think the miles will go over 30k this year.
