I recently bought a brand new R at a Honda dealership, may I add the customer experience was absolutely horrible!

part of my deal was a trade in...at the time of my trade in my KMs on the car were 13.5k...2 days after the deal I came across my old car on the dealers website being advertised at 10.2k!

I have proof of everything, what would you do if you were in a situation like this?

Probably a typo and not actually having the odometer changed.

Honestly, it doesnt make any sense, why they would. There is no value difference, between 10K and 13.5K. Now, if you traded the car in, with 120K and they rolled it back to 45K, that would be something to be worried about.

I mean if you feel like you absolutely must say something, i would do it in a nice way, maybe call the dealership and say hey listen I think you guys made a typo i just wanted to make sure you correct it... but quite frankly like everyone else said, I would just leave it alone and move on.

Do you have photo proof or just going by text in a listing? Could be a simple typo.

I thought you can't roll back the odometer nowadays before everything is digital. Did they take pix of the tachometer?

I too thought it wasnā€™t possible to roll back a digital odometer. And if you can, it seems like it wouldnā€™t be worth the trouble.

But who knows. Iā€™m sure there are much smarter people than me when it comes to cars, but like others have pointed out, whatā€™s wiping off 2500km gaining them?

If anything, Iā€™d just avoid that dealership like the plague in the future. I donā€™t trust dealerships whatsoever.

This post is 1000% spot on. I'm sure it was nothing but a minor typo in the ad.

It can be done, but no reason why for that kind of change.

Yeah, it can 100% be done on digital tach's, but it seems unlikely it was done in this case. As said, the difference in value between a 10K car and a 13K car would be minimal and definitely not worth the risk.
