Made my own using Arizona Ironwood. Made two but I prefer "T" horizontal style. Shifter is Type R with all acuity linkage. Transition stainless adapter base is also home made to add final touch.

Enjoying the new shifter in the MY20 CTR. Gonna need a jimmy hat for it for those hot and cold moments... ?

Thank you!
I also got into making knob in 304 stainless and titanium. As for metal knob, titanium is my choice.
However, Arizona Iron Wood for the win.

In 304 stainless -after mirror polish, all I could do for final touch is flame treated to a golden finish.

In titanium - followed mirror polish, I could flame anodize (man made chatoyance) to suite my imaginations.

But Arizona Iron Wood - on the other hand, I have to hand select and guess what the natural chatoyance will be. Since its natural brilliance will be oxidized, turns black practically in front of your eyes. I have to sealed it from atmosphere to preserve and capture its natural chatoyance. And each piece is unique. So NICE - imho.

Odd question, but do the holes in the leather grip really look as white in person as they do in the pictures here? It's like there's a white material underneath, but I didn't see that in the other photos that I've seen of this shift knob.

I'd assume it's the really hard lighting the flash provides. It would be the same leather that is used on Raceseng's Cylix shift knob.

No they don't. Those pics were taken at night in a dark garage with the flash on.

I have the same shift knob and cannot find the correct locking nut/ring to have this setup. My shift boot is loose and looks awful. What did you do to make your shift boot sit flush against this shift knob?

i run the knob height at -10mm, the shortest setting, and it worked out not requiring a lock nut (typically supplied by moddiction). the base of the anvil 2 (and 1) do not work with any collar that i know of. gl!
