I stalled a new replica Mugen one that came in the mail this morning. Really like the weight of this one. Really like the cf look with the red circle.

Had a Spoon Duracon for like 8 months then found it harder to get into gear the more miles I put in the car. I think the low weight of the knob had a little to do with it. Had a few times where the car refused to go into 3rd or 5th gear.

Ended up borrowing a friend’s weighted Seeker knob and it definitely helped out; next up is a Raceseng Prolix and some Amsoil transmission fluid. Hope that mitigates my issues.
I felt like the spoon sports was very direct and Notchy when using it. Didn’t have any trouble getting it in and out of gear.

I've been rotating some different weight knobs around....stock CTR to a Skunk2 that I have on my 09' SI. Then to the Mugen look carbon fiber and now the Raceng Slammer which I think I'm going with for a final choice. My preference of a heavier weight knob goes back to 9 years of daily use in my SI. Makes the shifting action much more positive and definitely assists in completing the shift. The first thing I noticed after getting my R was the knob just felt too light and after swapping the Skunk2 knob on it confirmed my thoughts. After adjustments to the CMC on the clutch pedal and changing to the GM Syncromesh the mechanical action was absolutely spot on and the Raceng Slammer knob was icing on the cake. It is heavy, so it provides shifting action assist which helps to easily pull it into the next gear and the shape is very comfortable. I think it is a great choice.:headbang:

Just tried the Spoon Duracon from my GE8 in the R. it sits a lot higher than the stock ball knob but it feels much better IMO. You can feel the shift gates much more and each shift feels more direct.

The knob is countersunk, so makes it sit low, despite it being taller. Thinking about modding it inserting a threaded brass bushing

Is that an aftermarket head unit or is that standard for the JDM? What year is your FK8?

That is the JDM standard. No “Infotainment” system. We have to choose a navigation / audio unit when purchasing. I received my Type R in May this year, but I still think of it as the 2018 model.
