More of a modern muscle car fan. I’ve had a few Mustangs. A few Camaros. Last car before my leased Honda was a 1LE Camaro. But my favorite has been my Saleen S281 Speedster

You definitely have a great list of muscle cars. I’m not a big fan of Chrysler unless it’s from the late fifties and early sixties. A friend of a friend had bought a 1970 roadrunner in 1990 silver ( repainted) with a 383 four speed front disc brakes and A/C front factory that car I did like

The’ 64 Pontiac GTO. I bought the first one that came into my local dealership, the classic maroon two-door sedan with a center pillar, not a ‘hardtop’, that’s what a two-door without a center pillar was called then, a ‘hardtop convertible’, that added weight to brace the body. OEM Uniroyal ‘Tiger Paw’ tires with a red stripe. Despite what you might hear this was really the first true muscle car. Ford, Chrysler, nor even the other GM brands, had an anything like it in that first model year.

GM had taken the light Tempest compact two-door sedan body, which originally had a 2-speed automatic transaxle, dropped in a huge eight-cylinder engine and front-mounted four-speed transmission with a floor shifter, strong clutch, LSD, and a few other heavy-duty items, and there it was. I took the higher standard rear end ratio, 3:90, or so, I think. Lower ratios didn’t do much except burn rubber. Lost many a Corvette that was just sitting there burning rubber and making smoke while I was on my way. Very fast in a straight line. I see estimates of 4.6 seconds to 60 in1964, amazing. It would kill anything else on the street. If you had to stop maybe not, drum brakes all around so not good for anything other than accelerating fast in a straight line, not for cornering, poor brakes, etc. Well, I did survive it and it was a very worthwhile experience, maybe made me a little smarter.

That was the original muscle car.

There's so many I like. I think they're the most beautiful cars ever built. My favorite is probably the early C3 Corvette. I love Trans AMs, Boss and Mach 1 Mustangs, GTOs, late 60s early 70s Chargers, Challengers and Barracudas.

As far as modern goes, I like the Challenger the most probably. I had an S197 Mustang and, while I liked its looks, I was never a fan of the 4.6 but it had the misfortune of following up my 02 TA which is my second favorite car I've owned behind my C5 Corvette.

They'll always be my favorite cars but I sure am glad I gave Honda a chance with the Civic. The different driving experience is quite a blast in its own way.

I remember seeing this magazine ad when I was a kid not really a muscle car but it is a mustang a mustang II
But a few of these mustangs were modified by the Monroe company for a contest. Called the Monroe handler at the time it was a good handling car as for the mustang II

I'm a fan of all muscle cars since I build them for a living. My 93 Cobra and my 13 Boss 302 Laguna Seca are keepers for me. I have an 04 Cobra that is more racecar than anything else that I'm probably going to sell and just sold my 67 Camaro SS/RS that I've owned and built since 94'. I respect all muscle cars but I honestly enjoy driving my FK8 more than anything I have.

Yes the 93 mustang cobra was the last hah rah
For that body design and a serious performance car at the time there where rumors of a 5.8 liter ( 351 ) but I think that was a prototype. Like the pics the 67 looks awesome

Just wondering what is everyone’s favorite muscle car is. I noticed a lot of posters like mustangs
What manufacturer do you think made the best muscle car. AMC , Chrysler ,ford or GM products
I always liked the 1968- 1970 AMC Amx especially with the gopak 390 of cause. The 1970 - 73 Plymouth 340 duster. There’s a lot more from ford and Gm that I like. What’s your favorite and what do you think was the best muscle car
