But then I'd get a whole bunch of "the CTR doesn't have REAL vtec, blah, blah, blah..." lolI would like to see 3rd gear option changed to "3rd: Hitting that 3rd gear vTeC"
Then I'd vote
If I'm at cruising speed and just trying to keep a constant speed I will do 6th gear at 40MPH (63KPH). If I need to go, I'll block shift myself to 4th (puts me right around 2500 RPM). I personally don't feel like it damages anything since it shouldn't lug the engine. I didn't know it wasn't recommended by Honda tough, what's your source on this?I love 6th gear. I put mine into 6th gear at around 60kph.
I know it isn't recommended by Honda, but it felt fine, no shake, and if I need power, I put it back to Third.
I hit the rev limiter for the first time today, but in second gear. It was embarrassingHaha I'm the only one that loves first gear?
Get that pedal modulation just right and it'll scare a first time passenger before hitting 35mph. Just don't hit the rev limiter and embarrass yourself.
Haha I hit the rev limiter the first time I was trying to show a buddy how fast the car is. It's bound to happen if you're not paying enough attention to the dash. 7000RPM comes up quick.I hit the rev limiter for the first time today, but in second gear. It was embarrassing
Edit: getting the optimal power down in 1st (without skipping) does take a little finesse, you kind of have to build into it just right. Takes time to learn, even longer to master.
58 I believe. What speed does 2nd gear top out at?
