I'm curious which of the unknown info the early adopters of this forum are most anxious to find out about?

Price? Power specs? Design of the car?

For me I *think* have seen enough of car that the looks will not be an issue. Given the new offerings from competitors I will be most interested in seeing what kind of performance value the car will be. It may need to lead in this category to compete with some real attractive offerings like the new Focus RS.

RELEASE DATES! I need to know when they will be available.

Specs on the Si and what trims the Si will come in. Hoping for a 5-door Si. I don't have the enough scratch for the Type-R :)

Waiting to see the hatch in any form. SO far only seen patent drawings I think since it has not been spied testing yet. Ill be curious what the spec differences are between the various models too.

engine.

everything else I have seen looks good so far, and answers most of my interests in the car.

Dying to see this too. That frankenstein prototype they were driving around doesn't show us much of anything.

We already know the type of engine going in each model right? Just don't know the output yet?
Well, so far I *think* it's been stated that there will be 3 engines in the new Civic lineup:

2.0 NA EarthDreams in lower trims
1.5 Turbo in upper trims (already seen pics of an EX type sedan with dual exhaust and front mount intercooler)
2.0 Turbo in Type R

There have been rumors that the Si will get the 1.5T, and there has been wishful thinking that it will get a detuned/decontented 2.0T. The Si is the real wildcard right now as no one has seen an Si testing and no one has heard anything definitive about the Si.

For me, I am anxious to hear what motor they put in the Si.

If the 'type s' rumors are true then the si will be replaced with an underwhelming performance model. I really hope the car can compete with the likes of the focus st

If the Si rumors of a 1.5T are true, then the Si won't really be competing with anything.

I read about the Type S rumors from an Aussie publication, I don't know the history of Honda in Australia, but maybe the Type S name is more appropriate in Australia and other markets? Type S would be new for the Honda nameplate in USA, previously associated with Acura. Probably won't be a Type S Civic in USA.

If the Si gets a disappointing (IMO) engine the WRX Premium is my back-up car. I've been waiting 20ish years for a proper Si, I'll be sad if it gets the 1.5T

Agreed I don't think Honda will start a new Type S model in the US. Si badge is very well established now.

You hoping for a detuned 2.0 Type-R engine for the Si? I would love to see it too but I think that would bump its price up.

And if it doesn't bump up its price, you will hear would be Type R owners complain that the car isn't "special" enough... and they would have a point IMO.

Want to know weight, power and price. This will determine if I can and want to spring for a Si (if it is even coming). They better get moving on this info if they are still aiming for Fall 2015 availability.

I've been hearing that Honda will deploy a detuned 2.0T across a few Acura and Honda models in the future. A 240ish HP 2.0T would be less expensive to manufacture due to the fact that the 306HP 2.0T probably has a lot of expensive parts to make 306HP and survive such a high level of power.
I've really got my fingers crossed, a TOV user says that the news from Japan is in fact a detuned 2.0T Si. If Honda does plan to use 2.0T in other models as is already well known, than a 2.0T Si would make plenty of sense.

It'd be a big departure for the Si to use the EX (1.5T) motor again. For so long now the Si has had a unique motor with significantly more power than the standard motor. And Type R Honda's have had very special versions of Honda's best 4 cyl motor. So yeah, gonna keep positive about a 2.0T Si!!
