August of 2019. Bone stock, the way it remained until Spring 2020.

Car Now! Still waiting on my swift lowering springs.. but so far we have: JDM Red logos, duckbill spoiler, red pin striping on trim, 2020 rear diffuser, ABS Dynamics Front lip, HRS LED tail lights, Morimoto OE+ LED Headlights, smoked LED side markers, H&R 20MM spacers, Avid1 AV20 wheels.

Taking the bumper off is pretty easy, better with two people though. Minimal tools needed, ~30-45 minute job tagging it. Did it solo since I removed the bumper on my old 9th gen with a friend for a headlight swap, it’s the same pattern as in bolts, screws, rivet location and such. Love Honda for keeping it simple.

The headlights are probably my most favorite part as well, worth the purchase.

I feel like I’ll break something... maybe I’ll watch a bunch of YouTube vids to build up my confidence, and give it a shot. I’m kicking myself for not getting the si that comes with the headlights stock.

Yeh I was low-key jealous when they announced the lights for the SI+Hatch plus being smoked out. Figured just buying the lights would save me from the inevitable "Upgrade for such n' such features". Luckily these came smoked from Morimoto so that even made me pull the plug even faster.

Most of my stuff is internal. But the 16" wheels had to go. They were messing up the ratio. I was actually shopping for the smoked chrome 17's on eBay; but had given up hope of finding them. So I bought what I was sure were the chrome ones. When they arrived; it was a happy surprise that they were smoked. The seller wasn't specific and the pictures on eBay were a little bright. So that kinda' made up for all the other eBay shenanigans over the years. Front license plate frame was deleted and AC condenser protective grille was added. And, of course, there's the horn o' plenty upgrade. I've made peace with the chrome. But I needed Smudge as my co-pilot to silently judge others from the passenger side.

Technically, the stock "chrome" wheels aren't chrome. They're black with machined silver. It's quite a bit different.

The smoked wheels look good on your black coupe.

First Day I got it versus last Friday.

I figured I should add my own mod journey since this thread was started on my suggestion.

I took home my 2017 Cosmic Blue EX-L sedan back in May 2017:

First thing I did was add OEM side moldings because I park on the street at work and at home. Then I went to work with my "better than stock" sleeper plan. Nothing over the top, just more personalized and a bit better performing. Next up on the list was a better, bigger rear spoiler but I ran into many roadblocks (stupid Honda holes) and never found a solution. I did add the exhaust tips that Honda should have added stock though. Twin mufflers, turbo and hidden exhaust? Idiotic move by Honda IMO.

I started a stainless steel/carbon fiber theme on the inside by getting stainless steel door sills. I then added a bit of carbon to sport things up:

De-chromed the front end with some gloss black and carbon overlays:

As far as appearance mods I had other ones that I tried and removed because I didn't wind up liking them. Things like a roof spoiler, various bit of carbon trim, and smoked side markers.

I also swapped out my low beams for LEDs and added various LEDs to the interior including a glovebox light.

In terms of performance/handling, I started with Hondata CARB but graduated to the KTuner V2 and currently run a customized version of the TSP stage 1. I had a UR strut bar but changed it to the DC Sports bar because I preferred the gunmetal finish (they perform the same).

I have stage 1 style intake mods: a PRL silicone hose / aFe Pro Dry S filter combo.

Soon, I'll have a couple new handling mods installed that will not only make my car look better, handling should be way improved. I'll be adding an Ultra Racing rear cross member bar and 18" anthracite wheels with Conti DWS06 tires.

Last but not least here's a super minor mod I recently did that looks pretty cool:

traded in my 2007 suzuki swift sport for civic 1.5t

after 1.5 years i got some 18" wheels (we got 17" as standard in europe...)
lowered on ST coilovers, ceramic coated and krown protected next week i will install
rear camber arms to get alignment back to normal...
