I do the same. I get the best I can get.
If you can you should not only get gas with a rating of at least 91 premium but buy top tier gas. Not all premium is top tier gas. They have more cleaning additives that keep your car running faster and cleaner. Engine will last longer. Google Top Tier gas and you will see examples of internal engine parts using top tier as opposed to non top tier. Don't take my word for it..see the pictures. I'm 64 and I'm now on my 10th generation Honda..2018..old school people like me will say Vtec..Vtec..Vtec....BUT IN MY OPINION THE 10TH GENERATION Si IS THE BEST MOST SOPHISTICATED SI EVER BUILT...it handles better and is faster right out of the box....buy Hondata and in minutes you have a pocket rocket...most people think you need a laptop to install Hondata..that's another fallacy...Just download data from desktop...take Hondata unit to car...hook it up...download and drive a car that will slam you back in the seat. I drove most generation Si's but in my opinion this 10th generation is the best.
Hope this clears things up. I hate reading articles from people don't know what they are talking about...Remember Ride it like you Stole it...That's why you buy an Si...my other rush is a Harley Softail Deuce

I use 93 octane, the car runs better and it gets better gas mileage.
Turbo cars will always perform better with high octane in the tank .
Plus the additives in the fuel help keep your engine clean.
In North Carolina we have 87, 89 and 93 octane fuel .

Harley Hellboy is correct look for top tier on the pump .
My Si runs better and gets better mileage and performance on tip tier premium verses other premium gas .
Usually top tier gas will be available at you name brand stations .
Exon, BP , Shell and so on.

They literally call for 91 or better i the si.
But flex fuel (e70 locally) mixed with 93 (e8 locally)

I usually get gas from Costco where premium (91) is about 10 cents more per litre than regular (87). In local Shell and Esso, premium (91) is 30-35 cents more.

As a point of reference, gas today is 140 cents (CAD) per litre for regular grade.

So, my answer is premium most of the time. In the rare occasions that I cannot reach a Costco, I would put regular.

Ran 87 in mine until I tuned the car with Ktuner. Now I use 91 only, to keep Knock control down. (93 not available in AZ).

In Toronto, 91 is about 23% higher than 87. How about in your areas?

I ask because a few years ago, the price difference was not this high; typically 10 cents. Not sure what happened that for the past few years, the price difference ballooned to 30 cents.
