What engine speed is needed to throw the over-rev code?

If you mechanical over-rev to 7050 rpm is it instantly too bad; so sad; no more warranty for you? Or is there a little more of a threshold that needs to be met, say 7500 rpm? At this point it's just a hypothetical question based on all the over-rev posts we see. I find that this shifter requires just a little more focus than the older base model Honda shifters I have experienced particularly when going into 5th at high wheel speed.

I remember reading a post somewhere that somebody had raised the rev limit to 7300 and got it.
Stingy! I assume by "raised the limit" it was a custom tune that extended the fuel cut limit?

It's interesting that Honda set the factory fuel cut at exactly the stated redline for the K20C1. I'm thinking if it were any other model it would have had a 6800 rpm marked redline but they really wanted 7k for marketing purposes.
