Hope that's okay. Needed something right away, didn't have much time to shop around. Wanted the hatchback manual transmission in black but it would have been a special order.
Since I've totaled my baby, I've been asking all the dealers in my area for quotes on EXT w/ sensing and EXL's (I can't decide >_>). These are the quotes I've been getting:
Moss Bros:
EXT w/ sensing: $20,732
EXL: $21,189
-didn't specify what those prices included, I'm waiting for them to give me OTD price/price breakdown
Spreen:
EXT w/ sensing: $21,382
-includes destination and handling
EXL: Will be following up with them this weekend on a quote
Riverside Honda:
EXT w/ sensing: wouldn't quote me as they didn't have a car but they are going to try to get one for Spreen and work with me on the price.
EXL: Will be following up with them this weekend on a quote
Corona Honda:
EXL: $21,455
EXT w/ sensing: They keep quoting me for an EXT >_>
Do you guys think I should I be able to get the prices down more with Memorial Weekend coming up?
(Sorry if this is the wrong place >_<)
Do you really want to put up with Black? I had 2 black civics and they were massive PITA paintwise. If that's the color you want then go for it.Need some thoughts guys, I've been looking everywhere statewide for a Sport 6MT, and now I've gotten my first offer. black/black Sport 6MT for 23.5k OTD, this is SoCal btw..
should I jump on this?
Yes I figured. Just found it odd coming from a Honda dealership. I see it all of the time with Chevy and especially Ford. But lately I'm getting more emails from Honda dealers than ever. Like out of the blue emails where I haven't had any contact in months. I know it's a mass emailing. They just seem more desperate lately. I guess they are feeling the decline in sales as well.Yeah right, no dealer is going to pay you 145% of book value. That's why they put the "up to" in that line every time.
Nice job! Enjoy your new Civic.I finally joined the club. Bought my first ever Honda car last night. Wanted to thank you guys as I was lurking for the longest on this thread, and was able to get a better price because of it. Now it's my turn to contribute to the thread.

Yes, I agree you could have done better on price. I got a 2017 EX-T sedan CVT and Sensing for 20,800 22200 OTD. Monthly payment 360 at 0.9APR.Caution, long post incoming:
I leased a 2017 Civic EX Sedan with Sensing yesterday (5/19/17) in the Harrisburg, PA area. The price was somewhat higher than I wanted, but in my area the EX trim with Sensing is very rare (usually 1 or none on local lots). The closest dealer ended up having one of the best offers, and it wasn't worth it to me to travel 50+ miles for a $100-$300 savings, if that.
Some numbers below:
36 month lease
12,000 miles per year
MSRP: $23,015
Sales Price: $20,891.42 (Car included wheel locks, all season mats, and splash guards. I didn't want these, but they were already on the car, so they gave me a slight discount for that)
Acquisition Fee: $595
Down payment: $269.99 (first month lease) + $51 initial title fees + $89.55 initial registration fees + $138 document fee + $10 PA Tire Tax = $558.54
Money Factor: 0.0008 (x2400 = 1.92%)
Residual: 59% (went down a percentage point or two due to the sensing package from the normal EX)
Residual Value: $13,578.85
Depreciation: $7,907.57
Rent charge: $1,009.63
Total base payments: $8,917.20
Divided by 36 months: $247.70
Sales Tax: $22.29
Monthly payment: $269.99
