I was offered $21,000 sale price on a 2017 Coupe. Turns out I am too tall for that car, so after a brief bout of disappointment, I called up another dealer and got a 2017 Dark Gray (Polished Metal Metallic?) EX Hatch for $21,7000 (sadly CVT, not a manual.) Additional fees were $549 conveyance, $1,412.81 tax, and $185 for registration/plates. OOD price $23,846.81. I am in Connecticut.

I'm not a fan of the split center console, and I think Honda cheaped out on the seat fabric and padding, but I am loving Android Auto. The lack of knobs for the infotainment system is a bit of a minor inconvenience, but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some reviews are making it out to be.

FYI, I had negotiated $22,075 OOD for a 2016 EX-T Sedan before I changed my mind and went for the current model year (I'm wary of buying first model year cars.)
Do you feel the EX hatch is worth almost 2k more than the Sedan?

I'd have to say yes, in that I know there are always issues with first model year cars (the 2016 Civic) that often get resolved with the next year - stuff like sound insulation, ergonomic improvements, etc. I have a 60+ mile commute, so I'm in my car for over two hours a day, so I'll take any improvements, no matter how minor. I know they modified the seats a bit in response to people's complaints about them being too curved forward. In addition, I thought the ride was a bit quieter with the '17 (though that could have been sedan vs. hatch.) And coming from a Golf TDI, I really like a hatch, so I wanted that over a trunk (as spacious as the trunk is.)

If I was seriously watching my pennies, I would have probably gone with the '16 sedan. But, I feel I can handle the extra $30 per month for the hatch feature and the peace of mind of not having a first year car. Apples to apples, if I had gone for a '17 EX-T sedan, I feel it would have been very close in price.

Only "Accessory" Add on were the Wheel Locks for $79. I preferred to buy them after the fact, but I got a good deal, so I let it go.

Sounds like a great deal. I just bought in NC @ 19035 plus taxes and fees.
Cool, thanks for the help guys. I think I'll be buying in the next few days. I've never had a Honda before and I still dislike the fact that nearly everyone has one but I need a good car that is good on gas. I'm probably going to go with a white Civic.

Looks to be about the same as the deal I'm getting. How much is it before tax?

Dang so your getting a 17 for the price everyone is being quoted for a 16. Do you mind sharing the dealer info?
Deal of all deals...

$3687 off sticker on a 17?
Seems like way less than invoice?
