Mine are ‘aluminium’ but have an O-ring at deepest part of cap. Why is this or metal so bad sir?
They’ll seize to the valve stem and you’ll end up having to replace the valve stem because of it.

Because they will corrode to the valve stem. I had to replace a stem this year on my fiances winter wheels cause of this even though I remember putting anti-seize on the stupid things.
True, thanks.
Only prone to corrosion if dissimilar metals, the alum caps play nice with red anodized aluminum valve stems.

Set a personal best of 1:34.503 @Big Willow and received this medal for M class advanced group. Field was small. Was the first time at the track tuned and with a track alignment for the stock suspension on worn A052s.

The 2019 Corvette and 2017 NSX had a 300+ HP advantage and were moved to L class. Still was fun chasing them and staying within striking distance ;)

Full details here if interested in reading further.

Video from my buddy Steve’s 2019 650+ HP Corvette this past Sunday - Big Willow hosted by Edmond Lo and AROSC. I stayed in the video for the first 2:17 until Steve blew past me at 150+ MPH on the main straight but not before I passed my buddy Mario’s 2017 Acura NSX. Though no longer on the video after that, was able to stay within striking distance the rest of the way, finishing about 0.5 seconds behind. Was able to get to 136 MPH on the straight. First time out tuned and track aligned on stock suspension. A052s were worn pretty good going in. Best lap time was 1:34.503. A 4.29 second improvement over previous PB.

Well I won some money from the Super Bowl and got these:
I put the clear Laminix for protection because the JDM fog lights are hard plastic not glass. Don't want any road debris to crack a $300 fog lights. This is what happened to my 959 PIAA and it's hard glass. Also I'm not really into using my horn but since I was going to do the fog lights anyways, I'm already in there.

I really like that track layout. Have to put it on my To Do list!

Installed the PRL TIP and P2R inlet gasket. Install was not bad at all. I was able to see both 12mm bolts with enough lighting, so no blind bolt. To reinstall the front/bottom bolt, I wedged a piece of a shop towel between the socket and bolt. I didn't drop any bolts into the abyss.

Is that an appropriate metric, though? You’re putting points of pressure in two specific, opposing, places, whereas boost is going to make the whole tube expand circumferentially, hence the cross-weave reinforcements. It’s like pushing down on the center of a non-inflated tire, then saying it’s a poor design.

One thing you might try is tie some string (with a snug slip knot) around the tube, make some marks on the string, go for a drive, then check to see if/how much the string slipped through the slip knot. ??‍♂ Just curious, and thinking of ways to test your theory. ?
