Body kit.
Carbon Zone Poland has nice quality products. I bought a surrounding badge cover from them and it took more than 3 weeks to arrive. It was worth the wait and Jacek responds to you on FB if you have any questions to ask of them.
Installed a Carbon Zone Poland CF/Alacantara steering wheel.
Jacek Wisniewski uses a US OEM core, so fitment was spot on.
Havenāt had a chance to drive with it, as am working on a couple small items and prepping the car for a track day 2/21/21 @Big Willow
For anyone interested in a steering wheel swap, Iāve posted a DIY here
Repyt you and I had this conversation before regarding ASR. But my first set of badges I ordered in January of last year took about 6 months to arrive. The first rear badge had a hole in it and returned it only to wait 2-3 months for a replacement and then the second one was defective within a couple weeks with the material coming apart from within the badge. Still have not received the replacemt for that from ASR. So I feel you on your situation that 1 year is just discouraging to deal with one company's delays. Especially when it's a pain to even get in contact with ASR.Took beach detour this evening for quick snaps and to see how ceramic sheds dust and how well it shines. Seems less dust prone.
Tomorrow is an anniversary of sorts.. one year since ASR CF good scoop ordered,
Iām not bitter, just stupid and really patient but not understanding why further delays.
The guy nearly flipped out of his pants when he saw all the red inside the interior. ?The camā man is a trip, Iām the only R there, go to 18:45 -
The easiest way to get it down is to grab the little rigid ring right below the red collar (you'll be able to feel it through the Alcantera) and pull down hard. If you're using a pry tool to aid while doing this, wedge it between the shift knob and the red ring; not the Alcantera and red ring as the ring is attached to the Alcantera.Red Shift boot collar hard to push down and remove on 2020. Using pry tools but no luck. Probably Iām just a weakling. ?
Stupid me tried to unscrew the knob first counter clockwise thatās why numbers are upside down.
Any ideas folks? Iām trying to upgrade my shifter knob. Thanks!!
Is the red ring assembly supposed to unfasten itself from the shift knob? Seems like it doesnāt want to pull down free. Hard to get leverage on it as well. I have channel locks but Iām afraid the teeth will bite down hard on metal and make a mark. I can see the alcantara seperate from red ring but the whole thing (red collar and plastic ring) has to come down as one unit? The easiest way to get it down is to grab the little rigid ring right below the red collar (you'll be able to feel it through the Alcantera) and pull down hard. The Alcantera is glued (possibly stapled) to the red plastic ring if I'm not mistaken, that's one unit/part when you actually buy it. So the red ring is not part of the shift knob, so it should separate from the knob. The red ring is attached to a plastic assembly that physically clips into the shifter assembly that he shift knob screws on top of. You really don't need to touch the shift knob to get the shift boot down (though it might be helpful to hold onto it for leverage), you'd want to grip the actual Alcantera bit and pull down.Is the red ring assembly supposed to unfasten itself from the shift knob? Yes you are correct itās very hard to remove. This damn thing has a mind of its own and doesnāt want to be separated from the car.The Alcantera is glued (possibly stapled) to the red plastic ring if I'm not mistaken, that's one unit/part when you actually buy it. Edit: the red ring is like the silver ring on the 2017-19 models.
Edit 2: the first time getting the thing off is a PITA (for the 17-19 and I'd assume the 20-21 models).
Good luck getting it off if you haven't already. You do have to manhandle it the first few times. Honda tolerance is very tight on that part for whatever reasonYes you are correct itās very hard to remove. This damn thing has a mind of its own and doesnāt want to be separated from the car.
Man if I had the strength of Thor this this would have been off an hour ago.
