CarPro Elixir -Memorial Day Shine

Many of you know the benefits of Elixir that I’ve heard is more of a Polish than Detailer. It’s actually a blend of two diff products but it sure shines everything well.
I’m in love.?☀?

I did a quick (Non-foam gun or pressure washer two bucket) wash & blow dry then went over every visible square inch (nooks, crannies) in panel sections from roof to rims with Elixir. Not cheap, worth it! I thought it’d be a USA or German formula, says made in Korea (via Amazon, $33/liter)

No good place for night pics but messy garage. It does well on interior too, pics in daytime. I used a rectangular microfiber sponge applicator, 2 squirts on it for like 1/2 hood (little more area, goes long way), Spread evenly and buff lightly right away with clean microfiber, wow! If streaks, too much, not an issue for me this method.

I expected good but my son thinks it’s too shiny, looks glass dipped, mission accomplished.
I’ve tried many products, this is best one-step repair/filler and gloss so far with no buffing other than enough hand swipes to shine it to reflect clearly.
If you know of a better product for simple show ready application with ease, I’d be surprised.

I love CarPro products. Mine is in the garage prepped and ready for CQUartz UK 3.0 tomorrow.

Pulled the bumper to clean all the rocks and bug guts from the intercooler and radiator after a couple of track days. Picking debris one at a time fits my OCD tendencies really well, heh.

Also ordered this personalized license plate. With any luck the DMV doesn’t reject it and the PoPo don’t pull me over for a state ref when it’s on. And no, unfortunately I’m not tuned yet... soon hopefully ;)

Messed with some more wrapping doing part of the upper front grille and installed my license plate holder.

Haha I love that plate. Mine is RNTURBO and I've thought the same thing here in Cali, don't want to get more attention than I need from the popo. You need one of the blowers I use to dry my car. This thing really blasts those bugs out.

Messed with making more templates and PPF to protect my black plastic trim. Actually I did it because I was tired of seeing the hairline scratches all the time in the plastic. This Vvivid 3m stuff is self healing and gives a cool reflective appearance. I figured this might help.

I buffed out the previous scratches before application and came out kinda neat. Almost looks blacker now.

I put this in wrong thread earlier. Keeping close eye on temp gauges...

Got fit for protective mask since going for routine service next week. No telling where those wrenches have been. Don’t want to catch Car-owner-19 virus!

Installed my JDM fogs and Mugen bumper garnish set.

This looks really nice.
Normally car headlights make up the eyes of a pseudo face.

The Mugen matching color panels and fogs below make for an interesting, “Peekaboo, my eyes are down here” effect. Sort of expect them to wander around independently like a chameleon within each eye socket.

They’re different, not sure I’d pay $499.35 though but I’m a cheapskate.

Went to the 10th Street Distillery and picked up a cask strength whiskey that was released today.

Closely unrelated to fine whiskey but sounding similar to alcohol, today I added the Alcatera steering wheel cover that was made in Italy, yet shipped from JC (owner of partscombined), a nice vendor in South Korea, ordered last Friday afternoon, remember Monday was a U.S. holiday, that’s fast! USPS can’t get orders from Texas to NW Florida in under 3 biz days.
It comes in a nice rich pizza style box, fully padded and protected outside and in to isolate yet hold shape.
This D-Type shape is essential for Type R unless you’re custom stitching.
Fit is nice ant tight, start bottom up and roll back edge. The word Alcantara Is lightly branded in small letters but I turned that forward so only seen from outside when turning sharply.
I know it’s just a cover but many of us (maybe just me) want the look without the hassle of stitching or replacing entire wheel.
I get nothing out of just saying this is a great product and not just by eBay standards.

My son installing smoked side markers... the first of many goodies to arrive for the Type R. These are just the "cheap" Depo ones until Unity side markers are back in stock.
