What did you do to your Type R today?

Added a bunch of cosmetic items, for practical and just overall looks.
Side stripe decal from Ebay (seller: zengraphics), great quality vinyl.
Mugen door handle protector.
Type R spoiler decal and Windshield banner from Ebay (seller: dncvinyls) also great quality vinyl.
Carbon Fiber-like door sill protector on all 4 sills from Etsy (jetsvinyl)
Smoked side marker from ebay.
Mugen-style window visors.

Recently installed AWE touring catback exhaust which sounds amazing, highly recomend. ZERO-DRONE and no raspy sounds.
Also installed Mishimoto oil catch can.

Spot on with AWE exhaust, burble included although some notice a bright spot around 2,600 RPMs.
I see lots of JetsVinyl (thresholds and tail flash). His seat back stripes (wide or narrow) match so well they look OEM.
Speaking of stripes, I wonder how you found that? Looks a little diff without Type R. Premium Auto Styling has subtle decals to dress up plus windshield banners if you’re into that.

I definitely want to get those seat stripes, I was going to buy them but I didn't see the option for the red carbon vinyl, maybe they are out, I also did not message them to find out so holding on adding that.
And the side stripes come with the "Type R" separate, so you have to apply it after the fact. I didn't apply it because I already have "Type R" decal on the side of spoiler, so for now it would be too much "Type R" , lol. If I ever do remove the side spoiler decal I would add the "Type R" on to side stripe but in all RED.

And regarding exhaust, I definitely notice the bright spot at that exact RPM, its basically between 2200-2800 rpm, there is also one right at 4,000 rpm, TBH I actually like the fact that it gets louder if thats what you mean by bright spot. Usually I shift around those lower rpm ranges and I love that it gets loud at those low rpms. And yeah, got to love the burble madness, its unbelievable, sounds so deep and throaty, no fart cans here I can promise you that. lol

i already did that, plugged the holes above the engine but i still got a big pool of water on my engine from my last Tounchless wash - but i did spend more time in splashing my car bottom, and i am wondering if the water actually came from the bottom? becoz I didn't get that much from my previous washes though.

Just curious what plugs (size) did you use to plug the hood scoop hole?

Just curious what plugs (size) did you use to plug the hood scoop hole?

i just picked them up randomly from ACE. But, they don't seem to work as i still got water on the engine in those TouchFree car washes. Now, i just put in a piece of foil shield (for stove protection) b4 going into a car wash, and that works good to drain the water away from the coil pack. And i would wipe off the excessive water all around after each wash.

I messaged him last night and he didn't have the red carbon fiber material due to delays with covid-19,

Many of you know the benefits of Elixir that I’ve heard is more of a Polish than Detailer. It’s actually a blend of two diff products but it sure shines everything well.
I’m in love.??

I did a quick (Non-foam gun or pressure washer two bucket) wash & blow dry then went over every visible square inch (nooks, crannies) in panel sections from roof to rims with Elixir. Not cheap, worth it! I thought it’d be a USA or German formula, says made in Korea (via Amazon, $33/liter)

No good place for night pics but messy garage. It does well on interior too, pics in daytime. I used a rectangular microfiber sponge applicator, 2 squirts on it for like 1/2 hood (little more area, goes long way), Spread evenly and buff lightly right away with clean microfiber, wow! If streaks, too much, not an issue for me this method.

I expected good but my son thinks it’s too shiny, looks glass dipped, mission accomplished.
I’ve tried many products, this is best one-step repair/filler and gloss so far with no buffing other than enough hand swipes to shine it to reflect clearly.
If you know of a better product for simple show ready application with ease, I’d be surprised.

speaking of sweidit, i went to go pick up some parts from him ive been waiting for. Going to pick up the passenger side red trim and the door trims from him next week and then its just the waiting game till he offers a glove box and my interior will be done for now.
