Omar,I dont drag or track my car i live in a hot area tropics 24/7 heat is a big factor cooling is a much more concern for me if you look through the vents air does go through the side vents , members here do worse by killing the cars ride quality and stability of the car by changing springs and wider wheels but to each his own true this car is perfect look at hondas race version see the front grills there open
I remembered your tropical location and that for you, probably staying under 100 mph itās all about cooling, thus the giant nostrils.
Do you plan to put some matte or flat black paint on the silver metal areas now visible?
This is somewhat related... has anyone tried mounting the OEM 2020 Type R grid panels with the matched color painted canard/divider (not sure whatit tech name is) on 17-19s? I explored part numbers before they were available to buy and if I remember, the rear ones are direct replacements fit wise but not the front ones. I could have that backwards.
Iād be one to blur the line appearance wise if they got rid of half the grid. Not going to double up rotors too like the ā20 but minor tweaks with style and perhaps function are fair game.
As Honda built it, looks like a skywalk grid or grille unfit for walking since plastic and the piano black shows everything (coating anyone?). These four spots definitely need improvement but Omarās wide open solution might not be the best drag wise for the speed racers everywhere but his jungle climate.
I saw some very pricey Carbon Fiber replacements (courtesy of Tim the dual shifter comparison gent) that looked fantastic but Iām not that well off and have no JDM connections.
Surely there are better choices shape and finish wise so we can have our (griddle) cakes and eat air too?
