Super clean install. How did you fasten them back to back? Just with the brackets?

Very little room but they fit right back in

you just gotta turn it a little.

it won’t sit exactly how the stock one sits but you can tighten them both down with the right tools.

they are louder for sure, to the point of being louder inside the car

I forgot to share a really cool fact about the GT2-RS, Porsche was so concerned about weight with this car that the front hood emblem is actually a decal, just for the weight savings!!!

HpbyHerm,

That is unusual to amazing about the sticker badge. Even my 944 had a real raised emblem. The other reason they did this could have to do with aerodynamics. Smooth uninterrupted air goes faster and imparts less force on surfaces than air made turbulent by a raised object.

Our Type R tries to use this interruption property to make it easier for down channeling to the rear spoilers for increased downforce.

All these years I thought my K-Mart Trax shoes had stickers instead of raised emblems to save money. Who knew some 40+ years later I’d learn that, along with downforce inducing Velcro straps instead of flappy laces would later be copied by Porsche & Honda?

Air miracles never crease.

Done today?
Not installed until next week but researched and ordered lowering springs, wimpy by tuner standard. Going with Eibach Pro Kit, .8” drop front & back. May turn out slightly less with 255/35-19 tires that are .6 inches taller (ride height raised by radius, about 1/4”).

Since I’m out to improve grip with extra HP and prevent rim damage vs OEM with stylin’ 19” x 9.5”W wheels (TSW not RSR now, Ridgeline sold=cash flow) The A/S Goodyear Exhilirations 10.5” tires will be good here since often damp here, more wet grip than Michelin 3 A/S. Should be flush based on many similar size examples on Fitment Ind site.
Wasn’t going to drop it at all so went mild but I can’t look like a giraffe vs crouching red tiger either. I know this setup could be lowered much more with 41mm offset but two factors:
- I turn 59 soon and it isn’t getting any easier to dismount up out of the Type R
- I go over four huge speed bumps (4-5” high and wide) every day so having a little more air under the car beats asphalt, plastic or rubber remnants.

Are they CF vents direct replacement or layovers? Also how much did it cost to repaint OEM rims if you don't mind me asking, looking to get mine painted as well so I'm looking for a ballpark range. Thanks! Car looks great!
