I'm always impressed by how much people like the Type R. I wasn't even into cars at first and I got pulled in by it as soon as I saw the first images of the FK8. And then to see people comparing cars of calibers like M2, RS3, and GT4.
Curious how you feel about GenXI FL5? Did it have similar attraction impact or if like me, it had the opposite yawn inducing nauseum. No more R that’s unique, just a blimpy hatchback w/Velcro winglet.

Hey Dave, that's a beautiful NSX but I think I'll just own one of those on my Forza Game. No insurance required and all damages repaired for free. LOL

That RC-F looks nice but then it would only be limited to a two seater hauler. Need that extra space for my adult-sized kids. AWD is a must since I can bring the car up to Oregon where my daughters are currently attending school. This past winter they saw some snow and freezing temps.

Now I know why you drive a Red Type R. In Chinese culture, Red is known to be a very lucky color 😁
I get it, needs differ, just exploring options for ya’.

Red somehow thus far has been lucky enough to avoid tickets, albeit w/some help from Escort Redline 360.

Speaking of Chinese, if we don’t want to pop that balloon then maybe just light the string and wait for fireworks? Could there be a gov’t fear it’s here to spread COVID-23 to USA first. They’re clever…☄🎯🚑

It is definitely not my cup of tea. I still appreciate it as it still contains Type R legacy, but I think it's just too boring. Can barely tell it apart from other cars. The FK8 is bold and unafraid. FL5 looks like it is taking itself too seriously.

End of the day, I think it is nice that these 2 gens offers the looks for whichever side you are on. I found it intriguing and hilarious how divisive the FK8 made people. That's how you know it's special.

Now that you bring up the latest news, that is kind of a scary thought.

For it to be some surveillance device, it must have some camera with high-powered lens or could be Willy Wonka flying around in his hot air balloon?

Honda Civic 10th gen What did you do to your Type R today? 9245DCD1-B58D-4964-9EC9-6AAE0FBF789E

Pulled the dashboard to replace the defroster vents that got chewed by a rat over the summer when I left my windows cracked a little too much. Apparently the J’s Racing Canards provide a useful series of steps for vermin to climb into a car if there is an opening. Smh.

Replaced the vents and upgraded to a Sweidit interior since have gone through the trouble.

Finally got my exhaust, this was the first thing I wanted to do since the previous owner straight piped it. The welding was terrible on it also.

This car deserves a proper catback exhaust, ended up buying a used AWE from one of the fellow members on here. Just need to clean the exhaust tips it’s pretty dusty.

They finally shot Willy Wonka down. Anyhow, I’m in my Type R replying to the thread and didn’t drive it too hard because it’s currently raining but I think it was even remotely silly of me thinking of trading in my car. I think I was just desperate of coming up with solutions.

The word is to wait for inventories to fill up and then go for the wifeys car. Either way we’re screwed when it comes to car loan interest rates and they’re already high and will be high when that moment to buy comes.

I see all these knucklehead Tesla drivers tailgating me while I’m cruising along enjoying the ride and then breaking away from them. I remind myself of how proud I am having the skillsets of a “real” driver; knowing how to drive a manual transmission.

Pilot Sport 4S doing well in rain for a summer tire. Michelin for life!!

Continuing reassembling the interior with Sweidit Alcantara wrapped parts. Have read the trick to making it look nice is to wipe with a moist cloth. Will try that when it’s all done.

Hope everyone is well!

Check engine light came on today on my way into work. Car literally just hit 23,000 miles. Got the basic "Emissions system Problem" "Rev match error". Took it over to Pep boys so they could scan it. P2183 code came up. Anyone else ever run into this issue? If so, what was the fix? Springs, intake and exhaust are the only mods on the car. Would this be something covered under warranty?
That code is related to the second coolant sensor underneath the car, would have to remove the splash shield underneath the car. You’ll see the sensor clipped to the driver side of the radiator positioned vertically. Make sure it didn't come loose, you can always remove it and plug it back in listening for the secure “click” sound, erase code and see if it comes back. After a small drive.
