I could try to plasti-dip it or the newer hydra-dip paint (includes gloss). Not sure if/how it’d stick to the rubber blend seals.

there are type R's running way more than 400 hp on stock rods no problem

Im just saying 4 piston knows whats up.
Of course any motor can make alot of power but put daily driving bad habits in the mix and kaboom. It sucks once it happens....
