Installed the 2020 mirror housings and signals on my 2019 with previously installed Suma mirror glass with heat and turn signal and power folding mirrors.

How tricky were the power folding mirrors? I could really use them in my garage.

From the Department of Redundancy Department...

Certainly a worthwhile mod but we already have foldable mirrors, itā€™s the power part lacking.

I wonder if this is or can be tied to door locking or maybe even engine stop if it isnā€™t already?

Honestly out of the few things I did to the mirrors the power folding mirror was the easiest due to it being mostly plug and play. There are two of the wires that you do have to clip into one of the factory harnesses. the toughest thing was that there was no instructions or videos so I had to figure out which plug and which pinholes they had to go into. the other thing is you have to have confidence being able to break apart a mirror housing. You really got to feel the assembly as you're pulling it apart so that you don't break any tabs and I think that's where most people might have issues. I used to be an installer for Best buy so that helped me a lot. If you feel like taking on the project PM me and I can go over some more specifics.

Good to see an aftermarket option that costs way less. I did my conversion back when you could only get sourced genuine Honda parts from Tegiwa Imports in the UK.

Very nice. Make sure to add Acuity Shifter cable bushings with some non hardening silicone lube applied for ultra smooth shifting :)

I did not take good pictures, but acuity short shifter installed last night.

Removed my old steering wheel and transferred the electronics and lower trim to this CF steering wheel from Carbon Zone Poland. Side grips are Alcantara. Built on a US OEM core.

Ran out of time + it was raining hard so held off on installing. Will do so tonight after work :)

How much was it back then?

It was around $650 USD back then, way more than the HiRev kit but you get the full complete mirror housings w/LED turn signals, heated/BSM capable mirror glass, door switch, and black mirror caps.

I had to manually wire everything so not plug and play like the HiRev kit.

Looks like the price went up to about $750 USD as of today: https://www.tegiwaimports.com/selec...wing-mirror-pair-for-civic-type-r-fk8-17.html
Crazy thing is I spent about that much total....Hirev about $200, suma mirrors about $200 (heated with signals), and 2020 housings with signals and wires about $200.

Thanks! I did already do the gm mtf and acuity shifter bushings. I did those and it felt great. Then did the shifter a couple weeks later. Havenā€™t driven much since the install but feels so good. My friend did a hybrid shifter while I did my acuity.

also, I washed my car. :)

I have always been a fan of the flat bottom steering wheels.
